The 6.5 x 65 RWS is optimally suitable for hunting in the mountains - from chamois and ibex to red deer hunting in Scotland.

It is a very fast, but also heavy 6.5 mm calibre. The 8.2 g cone-point bullet is an all-round bullet in the 6.5 x 65 RWS. With the RWS cone-point bullet the entire hunting spectrum can be reasonably covered - medium-sized game from chamois to fallow deer.

This cartridge was introduced by RWS in 1990 together with its rimmed version 6.5 x 65 R.
