The 6.5 x 68 is an extremely fast cartridge with a very extended trajectory, an excellent shooting precision and a special suitability for very long shots. The cartridge is predestined for hunting in the mountains for chamois, ibex, lighter wild sheep or Scottish red deer.

The 6.5 x 68 was already presented as a high-performance cartridge in 1940. With the 6 g RWS soft-point bullet with pointed tip bullet velocities of 1150 m/sec can be well achieved. For the 6.5 x 68 the 8.2 g RWS cone-point bullet is especially suitable.
